This artwork by Ivan Peries achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2004. In the INDIAN AND ISLAMIC WORKS OF ART auction, the work Rathu Ivai sold for GBP 7,170.00 (€ 10,319.60) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ivan Peries - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March this year for USD 23,940.00 (€ 22,019.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ivan Peries erzielte im Oktober 2004 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion INDIAN AND ISLAMIC WORKS OF ART wurde die Arbeit Rathu Ivai für GBP 7.170,00 (€ 10.319,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ivan Peries mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für USD 23.940,00 (€ 22.019,87) versteigert wurde.
