This artwork by Ivan Lam achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. In the Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Three buses sold for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 10,290.81) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 65,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ivan Lam - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Yellow Diamond, which sold at auction in May 2013 for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 32,229.75).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ivan Lam erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Three buses für HKD 125.000,00 (€ 10.290,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 65.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ivan Lam mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Yellow Diamond beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für HKD 325.000,00 (€ 32.229,75) versteigert wurde.
