In May 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work A Yellow Diamond by Ivan Lam. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 325,000.00 (€ 32,229.75), 63% above the upper estimate. This high result makes A Yellow Diamond the most expensive artwork by Ivan Lam that we have observed at auctions so far.
