In June 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Rowan Trees In Autumn by Ivan Shishkin. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 157,250.00 (€ 173,967.90), 31% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ivan Shishkin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Forest Clearing in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 3,177,000.00 (€ 2,040,724.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rowan Trees In Autumn von Ivan Shishkin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 157.250,00 (€ 173.967,90) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ivan Shishkin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Forest Clearing im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.177.000,00 (€ 2.040.724,56).
