Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ivan Gregorovitch Olinsky could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Dorothy changed hands for USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,214.05) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ivan Gregorovitch Olinsky - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Young Woman, which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 22,800.00 (€ 17,048.00).
