In June 2013 Artcurial held the auction Contemporary Art 2 — « Lumières et Géométries », which included the work Sans Titre, Circa 1970 by Ivan Contreras-Brunet. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 5,625.00 41% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ivan Contreras-Brunet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ohne Titel (Draht-Objekt). 1979., which sold at auction in December last year for CHF 11,875.00 (€ 12,011.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2013 führte Artcurial die Auktion Contemporary Art 2 — « Lumières et Géométries » durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre, Circa 1970 von Ivan Contreras-Brunet zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 5.625,00 und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ivan Contreras-Brunet mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ohne Titel (Draht-Objekt). 1979. beobachtet, die im Dezember letzten Jahres für CHF 11.875,00 (€ 12.011,53) versteigert wurde.
