This price was achieved in the auction Blazing a TrailModern British Women at Bonhams in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ithell Colquhoun; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sunflower sold at auction in September this year with the realized price of GBP 79,140.00 (€ 79,140.00).
