This price was achieved in the auction Blazing a TrailModern British Women at Bonhams in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ithell Colquhoun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sunflower, which sold at auction in September this year for GBP 79,140.00 (€ 79,140.00).
