Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work L'Helice by Ithell Colquhoun was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2006. It achieved a price of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,553.78), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 15%. Admittedly, works by Ithell Colquhoun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sunflower in September this year with an auction result of GBP 79,140.00 (€ 79,140.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit L'Helice von Ithell Colquhoun kam im November 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 5.760,00 (€ 8.553,78) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 15%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ithell Colquhoun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sunflower im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 79.140,00 (€ 79.140,00).
