Auction result well in line with expectations
The work False Arch by Issy Wood was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 819,000.00 (€ 98,145.26) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Issy Wood have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chalet in March last year with an auction result of GBP 441,000.00 (€ 522,855.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit False Arch von Issy Wood kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 819.000,00 (€ 98.145,26) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Issy Wood auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chalet im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 441.000,00 (€ 522.855,13).
