Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Matchmaker by Issachar Ber Ryback was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2014. The price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,714.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Issachar Ber Ryback achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pogrom in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 102,000.00 (€ 151,473.19).

Die Arbeit The Matchmaker von Issachar Ber Ryback kam im Dezember 2014 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.714,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Issachar Ber Ryback erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pogrom im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 102.000,00 (€ 151.473,19).
