Auction result misses estimated price range
In February this year a collector was able to acquire the work Landscape 16 x 18in by Israel Hershberg for USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,405.21). This price was achieved in the auction Discovery on Madison Online at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Israel Hershberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Four Quinces in March 2011 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 42,304.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Landscape 16 x 18in von Israel Hershberg für USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.405,21) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Discovery on Madison Online bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Israel Hershberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Four Quinces im März 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 42.304,17).
