Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Friendship by Ismael Al Sheikhly was auctioned at Christies in November 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,071.90) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ismael Al Sheikhly have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 62,716.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Friendship von Ismael Al Sheikhly kam im November 2021 bei Christies zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.071,90) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ismael Al Sheikhly auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 62.716,66).
