Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Two Bedouin Ladies by Ismael Al Sheikhly was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections auction at Bonhams in London in June 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 10,837.50 (€ 12,628.50). Admittedly, works by Ismael Al Sheikhly have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 62,716.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Two Bedouin Ladies von Ismael Al Sheikhly wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 10.837,50 (€ 12.628,50) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ismael Al Sheikhly auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 62.716,66).
