Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included this untitled work by Ismael Al Sheikhly. It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,409.31) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ismael Al Sheikhly have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 62,716.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ismael Al Sheikhly zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.409,31) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ismael Al Sheikhly auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 62.716,66).
