Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Women by Ismael Al Sheikhly was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections auction at Bonhams in London in June 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 17,750.00 (€ 20,683.36) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 14,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ismael Al Sheikhly - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in October 2016 for USD 68,750.00 (€ 62,716.66).

Die Arbeit Women von Ismael Al Sheikhly wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 17.750,00 (€ 20.683,36) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 14.000,00 – 18.000,00.
