Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gitana (Gypsy) by Isidre Nonell was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2008. The price achieved of GBP 115,250.00 (€ 139,345.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Isidre Nonell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mujer de medio cuerpo con fondo verde, which sold at auction in October 2005 for EUR 437,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Gitana (Gypsy) von Isidre Nonell kam im November 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 115.250,00 (€ 139.345,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Isidre Nonell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mujer de medio cuerpo con fondo verde beobachtet, die im Oktober 2005 für EUR 437.600,00 versteigert wurde.
