In October 2021 Christies held the auction Made In Holland, which included the work Two elegant ladies by Isaac Israëls. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 112,500.00 61% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Isaac Israëls have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Raden Mas Jodjana in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 4,325,000.00 (€ 494,995.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 61 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Christies die Auktion Made In Holland durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two elegant ladies von Isaac Israëls zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 112.500,00 und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Isaac Israëls auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of Raden Mas Jodjana im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.325.000,00 (€ 494.995,07).
