Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Vuelo de semillas 2 by Irma Palacios was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,031.77). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Irma Palacios - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paisaje Sin Horizonte, which sold at auction in May 2013 for USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,180.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Vuelo de semillas 2 von Irma Palacios im Mai 2010 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.031,77) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Irma Palacios mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paisaje Sin Horizonte beobachtet, die im Mai 2013 für USD 10.625,00 (€ 8.180,63) versteigert wurde.
