Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reclining nude with a red rose by Irene Klestova was sold in the Important Russian Art auction at Christies in London in November 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,049.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Irene Klestova have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2007 the work Mixed roses in a porcelain jardinière was auctioned for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 7,876.46).
