Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Taos Man by Gerald Cassidy was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in December 2008. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,875.00 (€ 4,939.29) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerald Cassidy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two Indians Racing Before a Storm in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 209,000.00 (€ 153,225.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Taos Man von Gerald Cassidy wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 4.939,29) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerald Cassidy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two Indians Racing Before a Storm im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 209.000,00 (€ 153.225,81).
