Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work The Rainbow, Desert View, Arizona by Gerald Cassidy for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,250.94). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerald Cassidy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two Indians Racing Before a Storm in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 209,000.00 (€ 153,225.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Rainbow, Desert View, Arizona von Gerald Cassidy für USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.250,94) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerald Cassidy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two Indians Racing Before a Storm im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 209.000,00 (€ 153.225,81).
