Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Flight Into Egypt by Ippolito Scarsella was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2020. The price achieved of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,208.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ippolito Scarsella achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abduction Of Persephone in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 340,200.00 (€ 292,092.38).
