Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Paintings & Sculpture, which included the work Saint Elena by Ippolito Scarsella. The price achieved of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 55,771.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ippolito Scarsella have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Abduction Of Persephone in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 340,200.00 (€ 292,092.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Paintings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saint Elena von Ippolito Scarsella zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 55.771,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ippolito Scarsella auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Abduction Of Persephone im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 340.200,00 (€ 292.092,38).
