Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Inka Essenhigh could be acquired at Sothebys in London in September 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Day Sale auction, the work Escape Pod changed hands for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,017.69) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Inka Essenhigh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Adoration in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 132,000.00 (€ 106,891.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Inka Essenhigh konnte im September 2017 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Escape Pod für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.017,69) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Inka Essenhigh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Adoration im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 132.000,00 (€ 106.891,25).
