The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,181.88) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Imao Keinen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Keinen kacho gafu [Keinen's natural history paintings Kyoto: S. Die Arbeit Koi Swimming under Wild Rose von Imao Keinen wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion Art of Japan: Online bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.181,88) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00.
