Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Toshimitsu Imai. The price achieved of HKD 126,000.00 (€ 13,490.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Toshimitsu Imai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Temps Modernes in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 3,680,000.00 (€ 414,607.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Toshimitsu Imai zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 126.000,00 (€ 13.490,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Toshimitsu Imai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Temps Modernes im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.680.000,00 (€ 414.607,11).
