Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work The Flying Komarov by Ilya Kabakov was worth GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,781.97) to a buyer in June 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Russian Pictures at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ilya Kabakov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beetle in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 2,932,500.00 (€ 3,835,594.92).

Die Arbeit The Flying Komarov von Ilya Kabakov war einem Käufer im Juni 2020 GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.781,97) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ilya Kabakov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beetle im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.932.500,00 (€ 3.835.594,92).
