Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Untitled (Diamond); Untitled (Square) 2 by Ilya Bolotowsky. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,530.00 (€ 1,461.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ilya Bolotowsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rectangle Within a Circle in May this year with an auction result of USD 107,950.00 (€ 101,323.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Diamond); Untitled (Square) 2 von Ilya Bolotowsky zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.530,00 (€ 1.461,46) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ilya Bolotowsky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rectangle Within a Circle im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 107.950,00 (€ 101.323,45).
