Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Opalescent Ellipse by Ilya Bolotowsky was sold in the Contemporary Discoveries auction at Sothebys in New York in July last year. The price achieved of USD 10,080.00 (€ 9,880.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ilya Bolotowsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rectangle Within a Circle in May this year with an auction result of USD 107,950.00 (€ 101,323.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Opalescent Ellipse von Ilya Bolotowsky wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Discoveries bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.080,00 (€ 9.880,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ilya Bolotowsky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rectangle Within a Circle im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 107.950,00 (€ 101.323,45).
