In May 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work YOGA- the Embodiment of Tree (Vriksha- asana) by Ikki Miyake. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 920,000.00 (€ 95,577.65), 31% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ikki Miyake - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Yoga - The Embodiment Of Tree, which sold at auction in October 2013 for HKD 3,280,000.00 (€ 311,254.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit YOGA- the Embodiment of Tree (Vriksha- asana) von Ikki Miyake zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 920.000,00 (€ 95.577,65) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ikki Miyake mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Yoga - The Embodiment Of Tree beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für HKD 3.280.000,00 (€ 311.254,97) versteigert wurde.
