Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections, which included the work Portrait Of The Artist Hend Adnan by Ibrahim El Dessouki. The price achieved of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 11,885.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ibrahim El Dessouki - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Egyptian Violet, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 25,062.00 (€ 29,070.12).

Im Juni 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of The Artist Hend Adnan von Ibrahim El Dessouki zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 11.885,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ibrahim El Dessouki mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Egyptian Violet beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 25.062,00 (€ 29.070,12) versteigert wurde.
