Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2020 Sothebys in Zurich held the auction Swiss Made UNLOCKED, which included the work Le Moran Maasai by Ibou Diouf. Here, the upper estimate of CHF 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for CHF 8,125.00 (€ 7,641.74). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ibou Diouf - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les Garmis de Gaabu, which sold at auction in March 2021 for GBP 24,625.00 (€ 28,928.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in Zürich die Auktion Swiss Made UNLOCKED durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Moran Maasai von Ibou Diouf zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von CHF 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für CHF 8.125,00 (€ 7.641,74) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ibou Diouf mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les Garmis de Gaabu beobachtet, die im März 2021 für GBP 24.625,00 (€ 28.928,03) versteigert wurde.
