This artwork by Ibou Diouf achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in April 2021. In the Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale auction, the work Two heads, a Kiss sold for GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,599.79) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ibou Diouf have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les Garmis de Gaabu in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 24,625.00 (€ 28,928.03).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ibou Diouf erzielte im April 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale wurde die Arbeit Two heads, a Kiss für GBP 5.737,50 (€ 6.599,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ibou Diouf auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les Garmis de Gaabu im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.625,00 (€ 28.928,03).
