Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ian Strang could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2001 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work A view of Broadway changed hands for GBP 293.75 (€ 474.74) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ian Strang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Vale of Health, Hampstead, which sold at auction in September 2012 for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,254.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ian Strang konnte im Oktober 2001 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wechselte die Arbeit A view of Broadway für GBP 293,75 (€ 474,74) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ian Strang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Vale of Health, Hampstead beobachtet, die im September 2012 für GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.254,82) versteigert wurde.
