Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Mearns Red Earth by Ian Fleming for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,816.13). This price was achieved in the auction Scottish Pictures at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Ian Fleming have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in August 2008 by the work Landscape, Yellow Theme at GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,340.10).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mearns Red Earth von Ian Fleming für GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.816,13) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Scottish Pictures bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Ian Fleming wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im August 2008 die Arbeit Landscape, Yellow Theme mit GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.340,10).
