The artist was a member of the Pita Maha artists' association. He is also known as: I Poegig, Ketut Poegig, and Ketut Poegoeg. The collection Bateson & Mead originally recorded eleven works under the name of Poegeg, eight works under the name of Poegig, and two works under the name of Poegoeg. Not to be confused with his colleague Ida Bagus Made Poegoeg. Inscribed on the reverse with the artist's name by Bateson, also in Balinese, and with the date of purchase, possibly by Kaler.

Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work A Hunting Trophy by I Poegeg for SGD 2,350.00 (€ 1,461.55). This price was achieved in the auction PRE-WAR BALINESE MODERNISTS: 1928-1942 at Christies in Singapore and was even below the estimate range of SGD 2,500.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by I Poegeg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jaloezie: Jealousy in September 2001 with an auction result of SGD 15,275.00 (€ 9,500.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A Hunting Trophy von I Poegeg für SGD 2.350,00 (€ 1.461,55) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion PRE-WAR BALINESE MODERNISTS: 1928-1942 bei Christies in Singapur erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von SGD 2.500,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von I Poegeg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jaloezie: Jealousy im September 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SGD 15.275,00 (€ 9.500,08).
