The artist was a member of the Pita Maha artists' association. He is also known as: I Poegig, Ketut Poegig, and Ketut Poegoeg. The collection Bateson & Mead originally recorded eleven works under the name of Poegeg, eight works under the name of Poegig, and two works under the name of Poegoeg. Not to be confused with his colleague Ida Bagus Made Poegoeg. Inscribed with the artist's name in Balinese, inscribed and dated: "I Poegeg (...) Jaloezie 9.3.37", on the reverse.

A top price for I Poegeg
The work Jaloezie: Jealousy by I Poegeg was auctioned at Christies in Singapore in September 2001. It achieved a price of SGD 15,275.00 (€ 9,500.08), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 27%. With this result, Jaloezie: Jealousy is even the most expensive work of art by I Poegeg that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Jaloezie: Jealousy von I Poegeg kam im September 2001 bei Christies in Singapur zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von SGD 15.275,00 (€ 9.500,08) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 27%. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Jaloezie: Jealousy sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von I Poegeg, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
