The »bidding war« ended at USD 262,000.00 (€ 241,875.92), 46% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hyacinthe Rigaud - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Pierre-Vincent Bertin (Circa1654 - 1711), which sold at auction in July 2008 for GBP 409,250.00 (€ 519,956.73).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 262.000,00 (€ 241.875,92) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Hyacinthe Rigaud mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait Of Pierre-Vincent Bertin (Circa1654 - 1711) beobachtet, die im Juli 2008 für GBP 409.250,00 (€ 519.956,73) versteigert wurde.
