Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hyacinthe Rigaud achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in February 2020. In the Old Masters Online auction, the work Portrait Of A Gentleman, Half-Length, In A Red Mantle sold for USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,943.31) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hyacinthe Rigaud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Pierre-Vincent Bertin (Circa1654 - 1711) in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 409,250.00 (€ 519,956.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hyacinthe Rigaud erzielte im Februar 2020 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters Online wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman, Half-Length, In A Red Mantle für USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.943,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hyacinthe Rigaud erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Pierre-Vincent Bertin (Circa1654 - 1711) im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 409.250,00 (€ 519.956,73).
