Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait d'homme à l'habit bleu by Hyacinthe Rigaud was sold in the Tableaux anciens et du XIXème siècle auction at Christies in Paris in June 2019. The price achieved of EUR 25,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hyacinthe Rigaud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Pierre-Vincent Bertin (Circa1654 - 1711) in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 409,250.00 (€ 519,956.73).

Die Arbeit Portrait d'homme à l'habit bleu von Hyacinthe Rigaud wurde im Juni 2019 in der Auktion Tableaux anciens et du XIXème siècle bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 25.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hyacinthe Rigaud erzielen.
