Auction result misses estimated price range
In March last year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Hussein Madi for GBP 6,300.00 (€ 7,469.36). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Hussein Madi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Rapture) in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 70,480.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Hussein Madi für GBP 6.300,00 (€ 7.469,36) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hussein Madi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Rapture) im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 70.480,72).
