Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hussein Madi could be acquired at Bonhams in January this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online auction, the work Dialogue (Venus with Oud) changed hands for GBP 1,912.50 (€ 2,170.72) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,200.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hussein Madi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Rapture) in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 70,480.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hussein Madi konnte im Januar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Dialogue (Venus with Oud) für GBP 1.912,50 (€ 2.170,72) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.200,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hussein Madi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Rapture) im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 70.480,72).
