Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Three Figures (Blue Composition)) by Hussein Madi was auctioned at Christies in Paris in November this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 21,900.99) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hussein Madi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Rapture), which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 62,500.00 (€ 70,480.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Three Figures (Blue Composition)) von Hussein Madi kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 21.900,99) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hussein Madi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Rapture) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 62.500,00 (€ 70.480,72) versteigert wurde.
