Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Hussein Madi was sold in the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction at Sothebys in London in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,942.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hussein Madi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Rapture) in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 70,480.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Hussein Madi wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.942,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hussein Madi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Rapture) im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 70.480,72).
