Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Whisper by Hussein Madi was sold in the Middle Eastern Art Online Sale auction at Bonhams in London in February last year. The price achieved of GBP 956.25 (€ 1,143.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hussein Madi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Rapture) in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 70,480.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Whisper von Hussein Madi wurde im Februar letzten Jahres in der Auktion Middle Eastern Art Online Sale bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 956,25 (€ 1.143,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hussein Madi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Rapture) im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 70.480,72).
