Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mazareh Shebaa Lubnaniya by Hussein Madi was auctioned at Bonhams in London in February last year. The price achieved of GBP 2,167.50 (€ 2,591.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hussein Madi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Rapture) in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 70,480.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mazareh Shebaa Lubnaniya von Hussein Madi kam im Februar letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.167,50 (€ 2.591,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hussein Madi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Rapture) im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 70.480,72).
