This artwork by Hunt Slonem achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October 2006. In the The House Sale auction, the work Cheetah with Pelicans; and Parrots sold for USD 3,600.00 (€ 2,818.45) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hunt Slonem achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Picul 131 in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 37,800.00 (€ 32,721.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 80 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hunt Slonem erzielte im Oktober 2006 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The House Sale wurde die Arbeit Cheetah with Pelicans; and Parrots für USD 3.600,00 (€ 2.818,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hunt Slonem erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Picul 131 im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.800,00 (€ 32.721,61).
