Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Still Life With Flowers by Hung Jui-Lin was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 237,500.00 (€ 22,537.52). Other works by Hung Jui-Lin have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2015 by the work Illumination Underground at HKD 283,200.00 (€ 32,729.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Still Life With Flowers von Hung Jui-Lin im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 237.500,00 (€ 22.537,52) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Hung Jui-Lin wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im April 2015 die Arbeit Illumination Underground mit HKD 283.200,00 (€ 32.729,62).
