Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2009 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work Coalminers Series 1954 by Hung Jui-Lin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,652.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Hung Jui-Lin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Illumination Underground in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 283,200.00 (€ 32,729.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2009 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Coalminers Series 1954 von Hung Jui-Lin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.652,60) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hung Jui-Lin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Illumination Underground im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 283.200,00 (€ 32.729,62).
